MELISSA CHI MAY WONG

Melissa grew up in her parents Cantonese take-away and fish and chip shop called 'The Little Bridge'. From a young age she was always enthusiastically "helping" her parents move around buckets of potatoes ready for the chippy. As Melissa grew so did her responsibilities within the family business, assisting her parents throughout her formative cooking years. Subsequently Melissa has worked in a number of kitchens including Jamie Olivers Recipease and XU Taiwanese Teahouse & Restaurant.

Melissa was the General Manager at the School of Wok and the head chef tutor in London before leaving to start Overseas Chinese in 2018. She acts as a consultant with restaurants and hospitality companies, assisting them with recipe & menu creation. She has also helped train chefs throughout the UK in both Oriental and Western cusine.

Melissa is the head cook and owner of Overseas Chinese.
